Well certainly NIT Calicut is far more apt for infrastructure and research oppurtunities as compared to SVNIT Surat. But on the other hand VLSI and Embedded Systems being a more mainstream specialization for Electronics Engineers it should be preferred over Electronics Design and technology from a placement point of view strictly.
