Which college is best CIT coimbatore or GCT coimbatore in terms of placement? Can i get scholarships for hostel fees in CIT?

Hello

For CIT Coimbatore college provides good placements, but the number of students getting placed is gradually decreasing every year. Companies that are visiting (including ELGI, Hyundai, and Bosch )the campus are offering low salary packages. However, I am pretty sure that many students succeed and pass out from the college.

Some departments even secured 77% placements including placements in core, management and IT companies. The highest package offered to one department was around 9 LPA. Graduate engineer trainee is the role offered in case of core companies, and analyst's role offered by the remaining companies.

As for the scholarships - Institute provides various government scholarships such as Adi Dravidar Welfare Scholarship, Backward class Welfare Scholarship, Chief Minister’s Scholarship, Merit- Cum- Means Scholarship . For more details click on the below link:

Now for GCT The placement statistics stand around 60% which is pretty good considering this as a government institution. The highest packages are often offered by IT companies such as PayPal. There is a handful of IT and core related companies visiting the campus too. Regarding placements, the students will get the opportunity but the chance of getting placed lies in the hands of the students. Good companies like ABCO, Bosch, and Zoho etc., offer a package of 12-13 LPA. Almost 95% of the students from every department get placed. And the minimum package offered by companies are 2lakhs. It has placement cell and it is useful.

Post Metric Scholarship for Backward Class and Most Backward Class Students from Tamil Nadu

Eligibility - For First year UG students:+2 Renewal cases pass in the previous year B.Tech

Amount - INR 100000/-

If I were in your place I would go for GCT but since it is your decision I will advise you to think a lot about it. All the best
