The hostel mess is not that good , but the infrastructure is pretty decent , mostly sufficient for everyone , including labs and classrooms . It is pretty difficult for day scholars to participate in any kind of sport actually because of the timing , but the club activities are good .
The faculty are pretty decent ; they are mostly knowledgeable , and most of them are pretty helpful . The course are updated and industry ready and we think they would be pretty helpful for the industries .
Since everyone is currently facing a recession , placements is lower than usual , the average salary is around inr 12 lakhs per annum , and only 50 percent of the students are currently placed in the final year .
The college infrastructure gives an answer. Yes, It have all the necessary infrastructure, facility and equipments required. The classrooms have all the required facilities like WIFI, ACs , smart boards and the benches are well organised. All the books are available in the library. Equipments required for performing various practicals are available. The campus maintain a green and clean environment. The hostel and hostel mess is very hygienic. All the necessary requirements are well maintained.
Currently studying BTech CSE , studying so, because it have a very high scope in the technology industry . Probably studying it to gain experience in different fields. The teaching in the college is really good. Teaching is done both in hindi and english ,so it's a good thing . Various curriculum taking place in the campus refreshes our mind so it have really placed a very good update .The college provides placement for every BTech vertos so , it makes me a job-ready student.
The placements have been really good.especially for BTech CSE . It ensures placements for all the vertos . Atleast 90+% of students are placed. The highest package offered was for 3crores to BTech CSE course. The average salary/package offered is 8-10 lacs per annum. The placement process basically depends on the CGPA and the difficulty level of the process remind in the middle . The college provides full support to the students for the placements.
College infrastructure is really good and that is being said as of government institute it's really good , there are labs and libraries which fulfills almost every requirements for us to study , so the infrastructure is really good and classrooms are neat though
Academics were pretty easy by their teaching and also that is very easy for us to clear the exam and also their teachers are well experienced in their field so it's very easy for us to learn in thic college
as per government institutes placements are pretty average and also we cant expect much in goverment institute but still it's a reputated college with well infrastructures college to study and also this college have a really good name
If you got seat in this college never miss the chance it's a really good opportunity to start up your career
We can't expect a vest campus life in this college but we can expect a good one and it's better that most of the government college in this region
If you got a seat in this college don't miss the golden opportunity
The college is located in avinashi road which is one of the main areas in Coimbatore. Easily accessible to all the public transportations. The college infrastructure is well and good maintained. It has neat, spacious and ventilated classrooms for all the departments. The library here is large and has a lot of resources. Every departments have proper labs separately. The entire campus has WiFi installed including hostels and dining hall. The only drawback here is the boys hostels. They are pretty old buildings except for the final year hostel which was a newly constructed one. The hostel food could've been better and it's not upto that mark compared to other colleges in the city.
The staffs are highly experienced and have a great knowledge in the subjects in which they are handling. They teach us in an easy way that everyone in the class understands the topic. We can visit the staffs in their respective cabins in case of any doubts or queries regarding the subject. They are so helpful to the students studying.
The placement were a bit less compared to the previous years when I studied. But I guess now they have taken proper steps for improving the placement cell in the college. They ensure that every student gets placed in a good company with a good package.
The college is value for money in perspective of the academics. The fee structure is feasible for all the students since it is a government aided college. But the thing is hostel (boys ) and the food they provide are not ok. The hostel buildings are old enough. So for boys considering the situation it's better to stay outside.
I literally enjoyed the 4 years of my campus life there. It was one of the best days in my life. The college has separate clubs for all extra and co-curricular activities which includes sports, music, dance, YRC, NCC, RSP. There are 2 big grounds inside the campus. Every department will have a symposium event every year. The management not only ensures the academics of the students but they also ensure that the talent of every student is valued.
The college has a very decent infrastructure only but the laboratories have well equipped and modern instruments where the infrastructure is only a drawback. The hostel area will be good . Food and hygiene is an average one which they need to improve a lot
I studied my PG degree in Environmental engineering where the faculties had a very good experience in this field with a handful of knowledge in the academics and practical side also. We had a very updated curriculum with the current progress in this field
The college has a good placement numbers. In my year of study we did not have that much placement only one got placed in a top company. He was offered with 4lpa.The college placement group was good and supportive .
The fees for PG in comparison with the other colleges is a little bit high only. It costs nearly 1.4lakh per year. In my opinion it's not worth for the money as we didn't receive any stipend though it is a government aided college
I would the worst one in the college is their infrastructure and the best one is the teaching and laboratory facilities. The college had a number of clubs where the students can engage in and reveal their talents
Our college infrastructure is pretty good, it has got sufficient classrooms well airated, library with all necessary books for reference. Sports ground was also well maintained and given importance. Hostel is okay with good food.
Academics wise it's good with detailed syllabus. If one can well verse the subjects it will be very helpful for one's future, staff's are very cooperative and well experienced in their expertise. Practical knowledge is good.
Placement is also decent, given that one should be ready to face the competitive environment with adequate knowledge which is taught in the college, good exposure is also gain through industrial visit.
CIT seems to have some of the equipment needed for a computer science student but they are outdated. There is a decent library. The sports center is still on only because of the students there. The hostels are literally 50 years old, they don't have urinals. Al though the bathrooms are cleaned once a week they are not at all great for a hostel which has close to 350 students under one roof.
The quality of teaching is of no use. The syllabus and the teachers are outdated. It does not prepare one for higher education or for job. Computer Science is a field where 'Today's science is tomorrow nonsense' is true, but the syllabus is almost as old as 5 years. Some subjects are as old as me.
Many seniors haven't been placed. They have been offered only internships. The companies that come for placements are not famous companies, the college just pushes students to get placed to maintain their image.
I had a pay an ample amount while joining in the name of donation so my parents feel that I am studying in one of the prestigious colleges in Tamil Nadu. But it is a huge waste of money.
The teachers are kind of like jail guards. The place is especially scary for girls and juniors of both gender. The teachers consider the usage of word 'sex' instead of gender an offense. There is no space to speak your mind and heart out. The college is still running only because of the students who have shined in school and want to shine in the future too.
Hi I am from Coimbatore Institute of technology, Coimbatore and currently pursuing second year. I am lateral entry student and I just went to college for just two months. The college doesn't offer hostel facilities to lateral entry student. And the college is about 70 years old so the infrastructure is not that good it just look like government college. But it has high ended lab facilities and modern library which makes it one of the best engineering college in Coimbatore.
So the CIT(Coimbatore Institute of technology) is top rated college in Coimbatore. You wonder why I think because of its strict nature and the quality of content they deliver in classroom and almost all the teachers are very experienced and have wider knowledge about the subjects. For each department more than 100 teachers are there. And the curriculum is updated year by year for example I have data science, machine learning in my subjects. So the teaching is really good there.
I am still pursuing there and you know from first year onwards the students are trained speacialy for placements. There are separate classes for us for placementsBoth technical and communication skills of students are developed and they are made 100 percent for the placements. Many top IT companies like Oracle, microsoft, deshaw,Amazon, hcl,CTS,tcs etc.. visits and highest package last year was 30 lakhs per annum. And minimum you get 3-5 lakhs per annum. So the placements are very good.
There are different packages for each coourse because it is government aided college. If you got seat in aided course the fees is just 27k per year, and if you get sf course the fees is 65k per year and for management course the amount is about 130k per annum. And the college is absolutely worth for money. And there is free library and the same rules apply for exam fees also. Since it is autonomous college the fees amount are very flexible for each semester examination.
Our college campus is not really that much updated and it really looks like very ordinary college and that is the major drawback of my college. There are two student store where you can found anything that you needed for your entire college life education. And very normal canteen where you find pups, bonda, bajji at very reasonable price and there is one north Indian shop where you can find both Indian items. But the college is situated in center of city so you can find enormous bakkeries outside.
Yaa many of them underate the college because of its old oudate infrastructure and that is the reason the put it behind PSG College of engineering. But it's placement and academic qualities are very good and there many aluminis who are now milliores, CEO and working in high tech companies. So you can keep this college in your list of colleges to join in Tamil nadu.
College was built back in the 1950s, so the overall infrastructure is quite fair. But it has a library with very good amenities, well-equipped labs. One can also engage in numerous sports activities like cricket, football etc.
Academically, it is good to study at CIT, because of the skilful faculties in the college. One can gain a good knowledge of subjects and explore their ideas in the same, through various events like symposiums, Hackathons etc.
The placements in the college are fair. There are employability classes conducted every semester and CIT Placement Cell helps to perform well in placement interviews. Apart from interviews, one can also prepare for government exams.
The fee collected is worth the quality of teaching.
There are many opportunities to explore here. There are numerous clubs where one can showcase one's skills and develop leadership skills.
On the whole, it is a good place to gain knowledge and experience.
CIT has Good Infrastructure that is well maintained, neatly organized with eco-friendly environment. All classrooms are imaculate with ordered chairs.Lab environments are with furnished with necessary apparatus and equipment.CIT library has plethora of books that cover several genre.CIT has a huge ground and gym facilities for hostellers. CIT hostels are safe, secure and they're maintained hygienically. The college has commendable infrastructure with an auditorium, vast ground and ordered classrooms
I'm a 3rd year pupil, pursuing BE with specialization in Computer Science.Computer Science is an evergreen sliver and have enormous things to learn and explore.CIT provides an up to date curriculum that are indeed for the developing technological era.The quality of syllabus incorporates all the necessary theoretical and practical concepts that can be applied directly to the industry.CIT encourages students to learn beyond books, that shows the quality of teaching.Students learn things to explore.
CIT has a placement cell headed by a professor. The cell keeps close association with various industrial establishments, which conduct pre-placement presentation and campus interviews.A large number of National and MNCs visit the institute for recruitment.Around 90% of students get placed every year at CIT,the highest salary package was 33LPA in Amazon, from Computer Science. The average salary package was 6LPA. CIT faculties and alumni, will be the pillar of support to tackle the Placement Challenge
I have got a merit seat via counselling,So I do pay INR 18000 per year in addition to my exam fee. Some of my colleagues got their seat in unaided category and they pay INR 65000.To be honest,I receive more than I pay. Education is the best investment and CIT proves it by providing quality education via qualified faculties. Students are given an exposure to industrial era by organizing talks from industrial experts, workshops and seminars on emerging technologies. Its the best place to gain insight
CIT was established in the year 1956.The campus looks old,but it integrates all necessary features.Students can engage in all the activities that're frequently organized by one of the 25 clubs at CIT.Pupils are encouraged to participate in the workshops, symposiums and other inter-college meets.Professors are the best mentors, they're true inspirations and estimates each candidate's caliber and help them accordingly.Being located in significant area, the college can handle emergencies ASAP.
Overall, CIT is the best place; to learn new things, to explore more on technology and to enjoy our teen. CIT permits us to know us better. It motivates to reveal the best version of every Candidate; by building him, educating him, encouraging him and uplifting him.
Hello aspirant,
The distinctions between CIT and TCE (Thiagarajar College of Engineering) are negligible. Select CIT if you're in Coimbatore. Alternatively, select TCE if you are in Madurai or if you believe it is closer to our hometown. The courses offered by CIT and TCE are identical, with the exception that CIT also offers Chemical Engineering. Notably, TCE ranks #1 in research across the nation of India.
Thank you
Hope this information helps you.
