in tancet mca 2020 i got 35.667 actual score and 89.448 percentile score and i am from other state what are my chances in Coimbatore institute of technology and anna university ceg
As you have not mentioned you caste, I would assume you belong to the general category. As the cut off for 2020 hasn't been released yet, i would be sating the cut off for the previous years for an idea.
So for MBA 2108
- Coimbatore Institute of technology had it cut off for open category at 11.333
- Anna University CEG had a cut off closed at 64.66 for open category
For ME/Mtech 2018 The students were divided into categories
Category A have marks between 60-74 For CEG, Anna University
Category B had 57-51 who had a chance in Coimbatore institute of Technology
Hope it helps and Good luck.
which would be a good choice? ece in psg college of technology or cse in Coimbatore institute of technology ( Im good at math and cs but weak in physics)
This really cannot be compared as both colleges are good at their specific branches and if you want to do ECE then PSG College Of Technology is good to go and if you want to opt for CS branch then Coimbatore Institute Of Technology is good and as you have mentioned you are weak in Physics and good in CS and Maths I would suggest you to select CS branch into Coimbatore Institute Of Technology.
Hope this helps
can i prefer instrumentation and control engineering at psg over cse/it at thiagarajar college of engineering (tce) or Coimbatore institute of technology (cit) in terms of placements and opportunities?
You asked for the comparison among the colleges named psg, tce & cit.
Now, look, according to me, psg is the best among them. Placement is extremely good. Mostly PSG students get placed in the avg package of 4 to 6 Lpa. PSG last 3 years maintaining placement percentage 85%+. Most of the reputed companies like Caterpillar, Bajaj, L&T, Pwc, Daimler, Asian Paints,Renault Nissan, Goldman Sachs etc. are visiting regularly to our campus.
The tentative number of lecturers in this college is 90 in the college. Their avg age is around 40 to 45. Their average qualification is M.E. but most of the staffs have completed PhDs. They are very good in explaining the engineering concepts to the students as they do a lot of work after the college hrs to prepare for the next day's class.
So, you may go for it.
All the best !!
which would be a good choice? Coimbatore institute of technology or kumaraguru college of technology
comparison between 2 colleges can be really confusing. but there are some key points you will have to remember before selecting are college for you. the year of establishment plays an important role. the older the college, the more experienced faculty. the location of this college, fee structure. and most importantly the placement rate.
- KUMARAGURU COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY: established in 1984 which is private/ autonomous. it is a full time classroom mode with overall ratings 4.8. fees for 2 years is around 1 lakh and median salary is 4 lakhs. accepted examination is TANCET, GATE . approved by AICTE
- COIMBATORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY : established in 1956 which is public/gov, autonomous. full time classroom mode with 2.7 ratings. total fees 2.63 lakhs for 2 years and median salary is 3.36 lakhs . accepted examination is TANCET and it is approved by AICTE .
According to me, i feel you should go for KUMARAGURU COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY which has really good reviews.
My sons cut off 186.5 and BC community rank is 2935. Is there a chance to get admission in CSE or ECE at CIT, Coimbatore?
First of all congratulations for the marks. Yes, there are chances for your son to get a seat in CIT Coimbatore. He is eligible for Computer science Engineering itself. You have the choice, both the options are open for you.
All the best. Hope the answer was helpful.

Hello Krithik ,

my TNEA rank in OBC category is 2855 will I get admission for electronics and communication engineering course in anna university ,madras institute of technology and Coimbatore institute of technology???
Getting admission into a good college depends on various factors like your score or rank , your category, seat availability at the institute, exam difficulty level , etc.
You can use our college predictor link given below to view the available colleges fir you on your TNEA rank,
For seeing the participating institutes for TNEA, you can see the following link,
Some of these are government college while some are private ones.
It is difficult to say whether you may get admission into Anna University, because it's cutoff trends vary each year depending upon seat availability and category. It the also the same for madras institute of Technology .
my cutoff is 145 , bcm Catogary and I applied for tnea counselling which college I want to choose for choice filling in orderwise for chemical engineering 1.cercri, 2.anna university 3.ssn 4.cit, coimbatore 5.kongu , 6.sri venkateshwara college 7.st.joseph
Here is the cut off for the following college that you have enlisted for admission to Chemical Engineering. Please check them and you may arrange your preferences which are close to the cut off in 2019 and your cut off
- CERCRI: 189
- SSN: 179
- CIT: 180.5
- Kongu Kongu Engineeing College: 126.5
- Sri Venkateshwara: 143
- St. Joseph's College of Engineering: 118
Based on this you have decent chances of getting seat in St. Joseph's, Sri Venkateshwara, Kongu Engineeing College and tough chances of getting seat in other colleges listed above. So you may keep St. Joseph's, Sri Venkateshwara, Kongu Engineeing College as first three preferences and remaining colleges following. Anna University does not offer Chemical Engineering. But you also need to consider in which college you are interested to seek admission so if you are interested in SSN, CIT, CERCI then you may also keep as your highest preferences.
Cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates applied, number of seats available etc.
Sir I have scored 338/600 in TN board exam Tamil-85 English-63 Mathematics-39 Chemistry-47 physics-55 Biology-49 and I belongs to scheduled caste and Differently abled person then can I get Mechanical engineering in CIT Coimbatore ?
In 2018 the cut for SC category to get admission to Mechanical Engineering in Coimbatore Institute of Technology was 94 marks. Your cut off marks taking marks scored in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are 90. The cut off marks for Pwd category will be slightly low. So you may have chances of getting seat in this institute but cut off does not remain the same every year. It May increase or decrease based on normalized marks, number of candidates applied and number of seats available.
