According to me ,all the Nits are good but comparing nit rourkela and nit calicut ,nit calicut is good for cse as it has better teachers which delivers qualitative study material to students and they are very friendly in nature.Students did not need to sit and mug up all the time,they will get free time also.Even cse branch has many scopes.Many good companies with high placement come in the campus.

NIT Calicut ranks higher with 100% placements.
Average package is 6-7lpa with hivhest being 1.2crores by Google. Faculty is much better at Calicut with wide exposure and expertise.

NIt rourkela is beautiful campus and is amazing for placements but average package isower at 4-6LPa.
Hughest package in 79lacs.

Overall fortune 500 companies have been visiting less at NIT Rourkela and hence Calicut holds an edge.

Both of them are very similar in terms of faculty and placement. however NIT calicut should be preferred over NIT rourkela. You can also choose one near your home.
