Although both NIT Silchar and NIT Jamshedpur are equally good college, the placement record of electrical engineering students is pretty impressive in NIT Jamshedpur due to its location and wide alumni network.So, in my opinion if you are want to do electrical engineering then go for NIT.But if you want to do CSE then NIT Silchar is better.

Both are very good college. But if you want ranking then off course nit silchar is somewhere better then nit jamshedpur then you can go for it.
