Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Hyderabad:

• Eligibility requires the candidate to have passed their high school (12th examination) with subjects like physics, chemistry, biology or mathematics with 75% marks from a recognised board. Prificiency in English is a must for admissions.
• Admissions are granted on the basis of marks secures in high school and the BITSAT examination conducted by BITS Pilani.
• Specialisation include civil, chemical, computer science, electrical, mechanical and manufacturing.
• BITS offers scholarships and grants to students who have/are perfoming exceptionally well in academics.

• The college offers a four year Bachelors in Technology.
• Entrance examinations accepted in the college is JEE Main and GATE.
• Basic eligibility required is that student mast have completed their high school with pfysics, chemistry, biology or mathematics from a recognised board.
• Specialisations offered are civil, chemical, electrical, mechanical, computer science etc.
• The university is ranked 64th in engineering programmes across the country. It is an AAAA level university.
• Placements are amazing. Top companies come for recruitments. Median package offered in the B.Tech course is of 5.57 lakhs.
• Facilities of the university include separate girls and boys hostel, gymnasium, library, indoor and outdoor recreational activities, cafeteria, auditorium, medical hospital, wifi enabled classrooms, laboratories.

Both the university are amazing in their own sense. Their rankings are very similar and they stand as nearly equals in the university ladder. However you can decide upon your university based on your scores, the placements and the programme you are interested in.

Both the colleges are really good and among the top 10 colleges. But if compared i would say the fee of BITS, hyderabad is a lot more than NIT, surat. Also the fests of NIT, surat are much better and it is also one of the best nits. There is very slight difference among both the colleges so you can also consider location while choosing the college.
