From all perspective, Jadavpur University is far better than NIT Silchar. As far as Engineering is concerned, we can compare NIT silchar is national level college while Jadavpur University is state level. Level is just limited to funding only. Academia is better in Jadavpur. Alumni base is better of Jadavpur, and so the placements. So if you are getting same branch in both college then choose Jadavpur university.
