Hi,
During admission all India CRL rank is considered and not any category rank. That category rank doesn't matter at all. Your admission is done on the basis of the CRL rank. If you have any category certificate than it will just help you in getting admission easily as some seats are reserved for OBC category students but the rank considered for the admission is CRL rank.

So what is the meaning of category rank?
Why we get a seperate category rank?
What is its use?

Category rank only tells you what is your position among other students of same category. For admission only CRL rank is considered. But if you have any category certificate than it will help you in getting admission easily in comparison of general student but only CRL rank is considered for admission.

Okay
I asked the same question again on 12 May as no one has answered this question even after 8 days so I asked again and two people answered that question and they said that::
"FOR ADMISSION IN GOVERNMENT COLLEGE YOUR CATEGORY RANK WILL BE CONSIDERED"
and you are saying the opposite.
I am totally confused as some are saying category rank will be considered and some that CLR rank.

One of a my friend took admission in DTU so I know the admission process in dtu. In DTU your CRL rank is considered.
