I did my BTech in CSE from LPU and my experience was really good. I would rate LPU 5/5 in all aspects such as academics, placements, ranking, infrastructure, faculty, etc.

Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab is a multi-faculty institution offering 145+ programmes in various fields such as engineering. pharmacy, law, architecture, fine arts, management, etc. in Regular and ODL mode, in a state-of-the-art hi-tech campus, that spreads across 600 acres of land. You can get a degree from a diploma to a doctoral level.
Placement: In LPU, more than 550+ national and multinational companies visit for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA.
Scholarships Assistance: LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students with good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility.

About LPU I want to say-
LPU has got Campus of 600+ acres - That’s really not an interest to a student. What’ll she/he be doing of such a vast area. You’ll only be having a particular block for you academics.
Eight hostels for boys and Six for girls - You’re gonna need a place to stay so hopefully there’s more than enough space to accommodate you. That’s a plus point.
Security measures for girls - If you’re a girl and decide to reside in hostel. Then you’ll have to mark you attendance daily in hostel to the floor warden and be in hostel within the entry timings. 6:00-6:30 is winters timing and in summers upto 07:30 probably. So if you don’t enter into hostel till that time. You are gonna have to face the warden for explanation and may be a call to your parents. That’s a bit harsh. While girls may not like this but I’m sure their parents would surely do. But if you wanna live freely. There are plenty of PG’s near University. Now decide what’s best for you. But you’ll be super safe inside the hostels than in PG’s that’s for sure. You can go to library from 08:00 PM to 12:00 AM. But will be accompanied with a guard from you hostel to library.
More than 200 courses offered ranging from Diploma to PG - You are probably going to find the best course for you among these. That’s for sure. Another plus point.
Mandatory 75% aggregate attendance - You’ll need to maintain a baseline of 75% aggregate attendance in order to be eligible to give exams. That’s harsh and they won’t accept any medical leaves or anything. Literally nothing they are gonna accept from you. If you fall below 75% you are not gonna be eligible for final exams until you possess good percentage in the last term. In that case they’ll provide you with some grace. That’s a good point. Also they have marks criteria for attendance. As your attendance increase or decrease, you’ll have marks ranging from 2-5. That’s for you to decide whether it’s a plus point for you or not.
Placement - Yes. Students do get placed from the University and a lot of drives are conducted from various companies. No doubt most of the drives are CSE/IT based. Companies with decent packages come in. You’ll have to compete with everyone to grab the opportunity but it’ll be worth it.
Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports or Academic. There are numerous events held in the University campus itself. If you like to dance/sing/act then you’ll have numerous cultural events, You get a handful of opportunities if you are sports guy. Let it be football, cricket, basketball anything. You’ll get many-many tournaments in every case. If you’re a computer geek, you like coding and all that technological stuff. You are gonna have a great great ride.

Hi, LPU is ranked 23 and CU is ranked 45 by NIRF. CU has a NAAC grade of A+. CU has more number of students intake but LPU has more number of faculty and the enrollment of students is higher means there are less seats in LPU but the number of students enrolling are higher than CU. There is no girls hostel and no library available in LPU. There are 42 B.E/B.Tech course where as CU has 33.
