  • The first selection list of B.Tech admissions to the Central University of Kashmir has been released. Selected candidates must report to the campus to their respective departments on or before July 07, 2024.

Central University of Kashmir was established in 2009. Central University of Kashmir offers students several courses in different disciplines of study at the Undergraduate level and at the Postgraduate level. The major courses offered by Central University of Kashmir are B.Voc, B.E/B.Tech, B.Sc M.Sc, BA LLB, PGD, M.E/M.Tech, MA, LLM, M.Sc, M.Com, MTTM, M.P.Ed and MBA. 

The courses of CU Kashmir are offered in different streams of study such as Engineering and Architecture, Law, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and others. Admissions to CU Kashmir are based on CUET UG and CUET PG exams for UG and PG courses respectively. For B.Tech admissions, JEE Main scores are considered and CMAT scores for MBA admissions.

Further, candidates are also given placement opportunities, scholarships and basic amenities during their tenure at the campus. According to the NIRF report of 2024, 52 students were placed at the UG level and 220 students at the PG level in 2023 placements. The median salary offered ranged between Rs 3.00 Lakhs to Rs 4.20 Lakhs.

Giving a review to the university is quite good for students

College Infrastructure

The facilities of this university is very poor. There is no infrastructure, and classrooms are not maintained. There are no sports centre there nor are there hostels. They charge for internet but do not provide it. There is no canteen in the campus and the is no outdoor seatings available.
