About CRSU Jind

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU Jind) was established in the year 2014 by the Government of Haryana Legislature Act 28 of 2014. The university was named as Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind (CRSU). The university is recognised under section 12 (b) & 2 (f) of UGC Act, 1956. The campus is spread over 75 acres of land. CRSU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The mission and vision of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University is to give certain quality education by creating a good environment for the students.

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University provides many facilities for the students so that their stay becomes easy during their academic life. Separate hostels for boys and girls, gym, sports facilities, language laboratories, library, computer centre, medical facilities, etc are available for the students. Students can also avail central and state government scholarship schemes. CRSU also has a career and counselling cell that is responsible for placement related activities. The university is located at Gohana Bypass Road to Rohtak Bypass Road, Jind, Haryana. Bishanpura Haryana Railway Station is 4.9 km away from the university and it will take around 10 minutes to reach the CRSU. The nearest airport is Hisar Airport. The distance between the airport and the university is 76.4 km. Bhiwani Bus Stop is 66.4 km away from the university. CRSU Clubs, Committees and Societies

NSS: The members of the National Service Scheme provides opportunities for the students to develop their overall personality by participating in various social services.
Yog Cell: The members of this cell encourage students towards yoga and meditation for their mental well-being.

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University provides ample amount of facilities for the students and staff such as a library, computer centre, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, laboratories, hostel accommodation, etc. A library is an important part of the university. CRSU has air-conditioned reading rooms where students can gather information. It has a collection of books, magazines and also have a subscription to many newspapers.

The university provides separate accommodation to the boys and girls. CRSU has a girls hostel named Laxmi Bai Girls Hostel. CRSU Admissions

Students willing to take admission to Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University UG, PG and doctoral programmes will have to apply at the official website of the university. Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University Scholarships

Students can avail the scholarships offered by the central and state government. CRSU does not provide its own scholarship. The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who are from economically backward classes. To avail the scholarship, students have to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme, National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students, Post Matric Scholarship For Disabilities and Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities are the scholarships to name a few.

Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minority Class: Candidates who have scored 50% or above marks in the previous final examination and whose family income is less than Rs. 2 lakhs will be awarded a scholarship amount of Rs. 3,000 per annum.
Merit cum means scholarship: Rs. 1000 per month for 25% of students will be awarded if the students family income is less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs.

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University has a career and counselling cell that provides career guidance to the students. Career talks are conducted by the cell to provide knowledge about the various career options. The companies are invited by the CRSU career and counselling cell through the mail.
Interested companies will revert back and send all the necessary information such as job profile, job location, salary package, etc.
These details will be shared with the students and interested students will register themselves for the placement drive.
Dates will be fixed by the university and the companies for conducting the placement process.
Companies will deliver the pre-placement talk to the CRSU students.
Further, the companies will conduct group discussions, technical and aptitude tests followed by an interview as a part of the Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University placement drive.
Students who will qualify all the rounds will be offered jobs by the companies.

The university offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses. B.Ed and B.P.Ed are the two UG programmes. Students have to fulfill the eligibility criteria to get admission at CRSU. Some of the CRSU PG courses are M.B.A, M.C.A, M.Com, M.A, PGD, M.Sc, etc. Admissions to all programmes except M.P.Ed and B.P.Ed are done on the basis of the marks scored in the qualifying examination.
