The university was established in 2003 by the Rajasthan Ayurved University Act, 2002. DSRRAU Jodhpur is a state government university. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). DSRRAU Jodhpur gives affiliation to the colleges of Ayurved, Homeopathy, Unani, Yoga and Naturopathy offering diploma, UG, PG, Ph.D courses. The university has constituent colleges like two DAN & P training centre at Kadvad and Poonjala campus, University College of Unani at Charai, Tonk campus and its own campus at Kadvad. The mission and vision of the university is to create professionals through its quality education.

Diploma, B.A.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.H.M.S.,  B.N.Y.S., B.Sc. (Ayurved Nursing), M.D. (Ayurved ), M.D. (Homeopathy) are the courses offered at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University. The university also provides these courses through its various affiliated colleges. Nearly 44 colleges are affiliated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University. Admission to these courses is done either on the basis of merit score of qualifying exam (B.Sc./Diploma) or through joint entrance test at national or state level (B.A.M.S./B.U.M.S../B.H.M.S./B.N.Y.S./M.D./M.S.). The university releases its cutoff for admission through the entrance exam.

The campus of the university is spread over an area of 322 acres of land and provides many facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, library, hospital, sports, cafeteria, well-furnished classrooms, etc. DSRRAU Jodhpur also provides placement assistance. The university does not provide its own scholarships. However, students can avail central government scholarships and certain UGC/AICTE scholarships.

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University is located at Kadvad, Nagaur Road, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. There are various modes of transport to reach the university. One can travel by air, road or rail to reach the university. The nearest bus stop to the university is Gehlotan Bus Stand. It is 10.4 km away from DSRRAU. Jodhpur Cantt Railway Station is the nearest railway station to the University. The distance between the university and the railway station is 20.4 km. Jodhpur Airport is the nearest airport to DSRRAU Jodhpur. The airport is 26.3 km far from the university.

DSRRAU Jodhpur Facilities

The university has many facilities for both its students and staff members. The facilities provided by the university are library, hospital, boys hostel, girls hostel, cafeteria, sports, guest room, etc. The university provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The university provides multi-storied hostel buildings with spacious rooms. The Kadvad campus provides hostel facilities on the basis of merit. In addition to the basic hostel facility, recreational facilities like indoor games, mess, etc are also available. The university cafeteria facility has hygienically prepared food both for students and staff members.

The campus is fully wifi enabled. DSRRAU Jodhpur facility has a central library. The library consists of textbooks, reference books, etc on Unani, Homeopathy, Sanskrit & Modern Medicine, Yoga & Naturopathy, Siddha and others. The library also has storybooks, government publications, dictionaries, periodicals, journals in the field of  Modern Medicine, Ayurved, news and entertainment, Unani, etc. The library is installed with Digital Transaction Software to handle all the administrative work of the library. DSRRAU Jodhpur sports facility has both indoor and outdoor games like volleyball, football, basketball, cricket, chess, carrom, badminton, etc.

An on-campus hospital facility is also there in Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University. Medicines, meals are provided free of cost along with free treatment. The hospitals are equipped with laboratories, OPD, IPD and bio-waste disposal management facilities.  Shalya-karmagar (O.T.) and Panchkarma-karmagar centre of the university treat a large number of patients everyday. Cancer unit, diabetes clinic, swasthya rakshan, nasha mukti unit, bala roga, etc are also available. DSRRAU Jodhpur has smart and well-furnished classrooms and lecture halls. The university also provides guest rooms for dignitaries, VVIPs and VIPs.

DSRRAU Jodhpur Courses

The courses offered by the university are  D.Pharma, DAN & P, B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.N.Y.S., M.S.(Ayurved)/M.D. (Ayurved) and M.D. Homeopath. Students first have to meet the eligibility criteria and then proceed for admission to DSRRAU Jodhpur courses. The eligibility criteria for diploma/DAN & P and B.Sc. programmes are passing marks in 10+2 in any stream. The eligibility criteria required for B..A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.U.M.S. and B.N.Y.S. programmes are passing marks in 10+2 in relevant streams. For DSRRAU Jodhpur PG courses, graduation in relevant streams is the required eligibility criteria.

DSRRAU Jodhpur Admissions

Diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D are the programmes in which the admissions are offered in the university.  The programmes offered by the university are D.Pharma, DAN & P, B.Sc., B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.N.Y.S., M.S. (Ayurved)/M.S. (Ayurved) and M.D. Homeopathy. DSRRAU Jodhpur admissions to diploma and B.Sc. programmes are done on the basis of merit score of 10+2, whereas admission to B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.N.Y.S., M.S. (Ayurved)/M.S. (Ayurved) and M.D. Homeopathy programmes are done on the basis of NEET UG and NEET PG entrance test. After the declaration of the NEET result, the university declares its cutoff. The students meeting the cutoff of the university are eligible to take DSRRAU Jodhpur admission.

• Meet the eligibility criteria and appear for NEET-UG for undergraduate courses and NEET PG for postgraduate courses.

DSRRAU Jodhpur B.Sc./Diploma in AYUSH Nursing and Pharmacy Admission Process

• First, students need to meet the eligibility criteria.

• After that, students need to fill the online application form of the university.

• Students will be selected on the basis of the merit score obtained in 10+2.

DSRRAU Jodhpur Scholarships

Students at DSRRAU Jodhpur can apply for central government scholarships or scholarships provided by the UGC/AICTE as Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University does not provide its own scholarships. Students have to meet the eligibility criteria to avail DSRRAU Jodhpur scholarships provided by the central government. Eligibility criteria are different for different scholarships and so the scholarship amount. The various scholarships students can avail at DSRRAU Jodhpur are 

1. PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders (1st and 2nd rank holders)- This scholarship is offered to the students who are 1st and 2nd rank holders at UG level and pursuing full-time postgraduate courses. Their maximum age should be 30 years and a minimum of 60% marks at the UG level is compulsory. The scholarship amount awarded under this scheme is Rs 3100 per month.

2. PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child- This scholarship is offered by the University Grants Commission, MHRD to girl students whose maximum age is 30 years and pursuing full-time 1st year PG programme. Rs 36,200 per annum is the scholarship amount awarded under this scheme.

3. PG Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students for pursuing Professional Courses- This scholarship is awarded to those students who are pursuing professional courses from the institution/college/university recognised by the UGC or funded by central or state government. Rs 4500 per month is the scholarship amount awarded under this scheme.

DSRRAU Jodhpur Cutoff

The university admission to B.A.M.S., B.H.M.S., B.U.M.S., B.N.Y.S., M.S. (Ayurved)/M.S. (Ayurved) and M.D. Homeopathy programmes are done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test. DSRRAU Jodhpur accepts the scores of NEET. After the declaration of the result, the university releases the cutoff. Students meeting the DSRRAU Jodhpur cutoff are eligible to take admission. DSRRAU Jodhpur releases its cut-off every year. 

DSRRAU Jodhpur Placement

The university conducts placements every year. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University follows a placement process, that is, it invites the companies to its campus, interested students submit their resumes and appear for an interview. Selected students are notified through the placement department of the university. As per the DSRRAU Jodhpur placement report for the year 2020,  out of 110 students, 71 were eligible for placement.
