Glocal University, Saharanpur was established in the year 2011 by the Glocal University Act, 2011. The university is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The varsity spreads over 350 acres of land.  Glocal University is a privately funded state university and it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Bar Council of India (BCI) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The university offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes to the students through its different schools and faculties.

Glocal University courses are offered in Sciences, Commerce, Medicine and Allied Sciences, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering and Education streams. The courses include B.Sc, B.Tech, B.B.A., B.A. L.L.B., B.A.M.S., B.Pharma, B.C.A., B.Ed, M.Sc, M.Phil, M.B.A., M.Pharma and M.Com. The fee for the B.Pharma course is Rs. 4.09 lakh. Before applying for admission, students must meet the eligibility criteria. Interested students should fill up the online application form on the university’s website. Glocal University's admission process is based on both, academic merit and entrance examinations. 

For the B.Tech admission, JEE Main score/GAT (Glocal Admission Test) scores are considered for admission followed by an interview. For M.Tech admission, the priority is given to the GATE-qualified candidates. The university accepts CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT examination scores for the M.B.A. programme admission. For students completing their studies at the university, a placement cell works dedicatedly to provide employment opportunities to the students. 

The students can avail of several scholarships provided by the different departments of the university, and state and central governments. Apart from these, the university also offers various types of campus facilities to the students as well as staff members. Some of the Glocal University facilities provided are a library, an auditorium, laboratories, IT Infrastructure and many more facilities.

The university is located at Delhi-Yamunotri Marg (State Highway 57), Mirzapur Pole, Dist - Saharanpur in U.P. Saharanpur Railway Station is at a distance of 43 km away from the university. Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is approximately 88 km away from the university and Badripur Bus Depot is around 35 km away from the university and it takes about 35 minutes to reach the university from the bus depot.
