Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhopal, is one of twenty Indian Institute of Information Technology developed underneath the non-profit Public-Private Partnership model by the Ministry of Human Resources Development under the Indian Government in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Government and private companies partnerships.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal, it was founded in 2017. The IIIT Bhopal is currently situated on the MANIT campus (Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology). The Bhopal Government has allocated an area of 50 acres to construct a permanent IIIT Bhopal campus.

The primary goal of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bhopal  is to provide proper infrastructure for study, training and higher education in a variety of fields of technology. In the two years of its life, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bhopal has gained tremendous popularity with students from all over the country taking part in its courses.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhopal is located in Madhya Pradesh at a distance of 15 Km from Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal. One can also take a cab from Habibganj Railway station or Bhopal Junction Railway station which are at a distance of 5 and 8 Km respectively from the college campus.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal Infrastructure and Facilities:

 IIIT Bhopal at present has no campus of its own, so it is utilising the campus of its mentor institute, MANIT as a temporary campus before shifting to their permanent address once it is ready. The students can avail the facilities available at MANIT till they get a campus of their own. Based on the availability of rooms students stay in Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) and Chandrakanta Hostel in Bhopal.  

The institute might soon have its campus once the construction of the permanent campus of IIIT Bhopal is done on the 50 acres of land provided by the government. The students will be given all facilities like canteens, Wi-Fi, courts, among other necessities.

IIIT Bhopal Courses, Fees and Eligibility:

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bhopal provides its students a number of undergraduate courses. The institute has recently been set up; thus, postgraduate courses are not yet offered by the institute. The goal of the IIIT Bhopal courses is to provide the students of the Institute with in-depth knowledge and understanding.

IIIT Bhopal Fee:

According to the governing body of IIIT Bhopal, the students that take admission in the academic year 2020- 2021 will get a concession of 25% on the tuition fee. It has been reduced to Rs. 1.35 lakh which was initially Rs. 1.80 lakh. The mode of payment is SBI Collect.

 The total annual fee of each semester (excluding hostel and mess fees) of 2020-2021 is:

 · July-Dec 2020:  Rs. 112000/- (First Semester)

 ·Jan-June 2021: Rs. 67500/- (Second Semester)

 The onetime charges of the admission fee (Rs. 16500/-) are to be deposited at the time of admission.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Admission:

IIIT Bhopal takes admission based on the scores obtained by students in JEE Mains after which they are further called for a counselling process that is regulated by JOSAA/CSAB. The application form for all its courses is available through online mode.

The candidates are eligible only if:

·         The candidate has completed their 10+2 from a recognised board.

·         Applicants belonging to SC/ST category are given a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required.

·         Students appearing for the final examination can apply for admission.

IIIT Bhopal Admission Procedure for B.Tech Program:

 IIIT Bhopal Scholarship:

IIIT Bhopal offers 57 Central and State scholarships to its economically weaker students and grants fee waivers to its meritorious students and some of its girl students (like the ones belonging to a rural category) in its various scholarship schemes. IIIT Bhopal Placement:

Since the first batch of IIIT Bhopal will graduate in 2021, so there is no previous placements record. The internships are provided by the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Placement Cell that might also help in the college future placements.  

The college is preparing itself by forming good relations with the corporate world for its debut placements. A separate Training and Placement Cell has been set up that works with the faculties and student- coordinators to help them excel and become technical experts in the field of Information Technology as well as Communication Engineering.
