Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University, Jaipur was established in the year 2008 under the Act 17 of 2008 passed by Rajasthan State Legislature and notified by the Government of Rajasthan through its official Gazette Notification No. F.2 (23) Vidhi /2/2008 dated April 21, 2008. The university is also known as JVWU. It is sponsored by the Jyoti Vidyapeeth Trust and is recognised by the University Grants Commission. JVWU is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, Central Council of Homoeopathy, Pharmacy Council of India, National Council for Teacher Education, Distance Education Bureau Acts and CCIM. Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University, Jaipur offers various courses at the diploma, UG and PG level.

Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University, Jaipur offers various courses at the diploma, UG and PG level. As per the JVWU admission process, admission to the Ayush programmes is based on the NEET UG scores. For general programmes admission is based on the merit of the qualifying examination that is marks secured in class 10 for admission to the diploma, marks obtained in class 12 for UG programmes and marks of graduation shall be considered for admission. Admission to the Medical, Technical and Professional Programmes are based on the National/State/different university recognised entrance examinations such as GATE/Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main)/MAT/CAT/LSAT/CLAT or the entrance exam conducted by Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University.
