72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by Nagaland University, Lumami. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
The admission to the Ph. D Programme is done at the beginning of new Academic Session, Candidates with at least 55% marks in the master degree in the relevant subject are required to appear for an entrance test followed by interview which will be conducted by the respective departments.
- Persons with M. Phil Degree from this University.
- Students securing an average “A” grade of 60% and above in the course work of M. Phil Programme of this University.
- Percentage of marks in Master Degree or equivalent (at-least 50% in case SC/ST candidates).
- Performance in the test and interview.
Admission Details
Candidates qualifying in any of the National Eligibility Test (NET) recognized by the UGC will also be considered for selection.
