    About Nagaland University

    The university was established on 6th September 1994 by an Act of Parliament No. 35 of 1989 as a central university in Nagaland. More than 30 colleges are affiliated to Nagaland University some of which are Alder College, Kohima, C Edge College, Dimapur, Capital College of Higher Education, Kohima, Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research, Dimapur. Nagaland University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). Nagaland University has four campuses which include headquarters at Lumami Campus, Kohima Campus, Medziphema Campus and Dimapur Campus. 

    Nagaland University has six schools of studies namely School of AgriScience and Rural Development, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Humanities and Sciences, School of Legal Studies, School of Management Studies, School of Science and School of Social Sciences, 42 departments offering traditional and professional courses and three centres of studies.
