The Nagaland University was established on September 6, 1994, by Act of Parliament No. 35 of 1989 as a central university in Nagaland. Nagaland University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Nagaland University has four campuses, which include headquarters at Lumami Campus, Kohima Campus, Medziphema Campus, and Dimapur Campus. Nagaland University has been accredited by the NAAC.
