About OSOU Sambalpur
Odisha State Open University Sambalpur was established in 2015. It is the 15th and the most recent open university in India. OSOU Sambhalpur was established to provide quality education to all sections of society. Odisha State Open University focuses on education, research and training through the use of updated technology and makes education affordable for the backward and economically weaker sections of society. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
OSOU Sambhalpur provides various programmes at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses include BA Hons, B.Com Hons, BBA, MA Sociology, M.Com, M.Sc Cyber Security and many others. There is no such entrance examination for admission. Odisha State Open University Sambalpur admission process will be done on merit based on the eligibility criteria and the marks obtained at the 12th standard or graduation (whichever is applicable).
Odisha State Open University has established regional centres and study centres in different parts of the state to provide support facilities to the students. Skill development centres are also developed by the university. Currently, the university has over 89 study centres covering the state of Odisha. The college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, labs and the library. Quality of the food served in the hostel is average. Canteen and medical facilities are average, but sports facilities are good.
