The university is spread across an area of 302 acres. Various facilities are available in the university according to the basic requirements of the students. Some of them are listed below:
Hostels: The university has 10 hostels (5 for men & 5 for women) which can accommodate more than 1000 students. All the hostels have their separate mess facility along with common room, TV and various indoor games. Allotment in the hostel is done on merit basis only.
Library: A central library is present within the university campus which is open between 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The library has a vast collection of books and journals which are within 2 storage buildings. The library has a subscription to various international journals and has provided access to the student for various e-books and journals.
Computer Centre: Various computer centres are located at multiple locations within the university. The computer centres are constantly updated as per the technology requirement for use of the students and faculties in the university.
Health Centre: A primary health centre is established in the university which caters to the health care requirements of the students, faculties and staff. The health care centre is operated by two Medical Officers, one Staff Nurse, Laboratory
Technician and Multi Tasking Staff: The centre also welcomes people from the neighbouring village for treatment and the services provided by the centre are free for any patient.
V-SAT facility: This facility provides troubleshooting support to all the departments and units present within the university. The V-SAT facility also monitors and maintains the internet facility of the university.
Women Technology Park: This unit provides support to the girls students for the development of soft skills and promotes improved technologies related to the activities in which women are engaged in earning their livelihood. This unit is in collaboration with SEBI and NSEIL, Kolkata.
Guest House: A guest house is present within the university campus for the accommodation of the outsiders who came to meet their children studying at the university.
Canteen & Co-Operative Store: A central canteen, a tea stall, stationery store and other co-operative stores are present to fulfil the basic requirement of the students.
Day Care Centre: Day Care Centre was established under the UGC scheme with an objective to provide all the daycare facilities to the children between the age group of three months to six years of the working parents, students and visiting guests at the university.
Institutional Level Biotech Hub: The BT hub provides all the basic laboratory training to all the related science students on the campus. It conducts various workshops and training programme for the Postgraduate students, PhD scholars and faculty members of Life Sciences.
Physical Education Branch and Sports Facility: This branch conducts programme and activities for the overall development of the student’s personality. Within the university campus, there is football cum track and field ground, volleyball courts, basketball court and badminton court and an auditorium which serves as a multipurpose hall. Various sports activities are conducted and organised by the Physical Education Branch.
Facilities for Differently: Abled: Various arrangements are made for the differently-abled within the existing building in order to make them disabled-friendly. Special facilities such as ramps, rails and special toilets are made for the disabled people.
The University maintains 5 (five) halls of residence for students (5 for men) with accommodation capacity of 1024 residents with facilities like common room, TV and Indoor Games. The residents of the halls run their own mess on co-operative basis. Each hall of residence is managed by a Warden. There is a student perfect in each hall. Admission to halls of residence is made as per reservation and merit fixed for the purpose by the University. It is to be noted, however, that during summer vacation and winter break boarders shall have to vacate the halls of residence for the routine maintenance of the halls. Accommodation in separate halls of residence for B.Ed/M.Ed, regular M.Phil and Ph.D scholars are also provided on merit.

The central Library of the University is functioning in a separate building, since 1998. The total number of books as on today is 63576 out of which approx. 3000 books are reference nature and approx. 2000 gifted books. The University Library subscribes 14 local, regional and national dailies & 15 numbers of magazines. University Library also subscribes 15 International Journals and 75 National Print Journals. The University Library is registered/enrolled as an Institutional Member of Developing Library Network (DELNET), New Delhi, which is a major Digital Libarary Resource in South Asia.
The Physical Education Branch was set up in 1999 to conduct programmes and activities for all-round development of the students’ personality. The branch conducts/organizes Sports, Cultural, Youth Affairs and Students’ Union activities etc. Infrastructure Facility and Equipment: Football Ground cum Track and Field (International Standard Size), Volleyball Court, Basketball Court, Badminton Court.
A central canteen, a tea stall, a cafeteria, a Co-operative store, a Book stall, a Pharmacy, few stationerycum-grocery shops and a salon in a shopping complex cater to the general needs of the University community. xeroxing facility is also available in the campus.
The University has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.
A four bedded Health Center is operational with two experienced medical officers, three nurses, technicians, and a pharmacist. Soon it shall be upgraded to a 14-bedded one with modern medical equipments and facilities. 24 hours Ambulance facility for any emergency is available round the clock.
The University has Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.
Computer Centre, Rajiv Gandhi University, has been successfully fulfilling its objectives in spite of lack of resources since its inception in the year 2004. Presently, Computer Centre is housed at multiple locations i.e. at University Library and the Academic Block. Initiatives have already been taken for construction of the Central Computing Facility wherein Computer Centre will also be located.
The University extends adequate bus services from the Campus to Nirjuli, Naharlagun and Itanagar for students and staff at concessional rates. Frequent bus services are provided to NERIST point in Nirjuli on National Highway 52- A, from where public transport facility can be easily availed.
The University has departmental based laboratories facility for the students.
The University takes pride in the sea of alumnus and an alumni association of the University is in place. All the former students (alumni) and present employees and faculty members are its members and associate members. Association organizes social events/workshop/symposium and carry out academic publications. It provides a variety of benefits and services that helps alumni maintain connections to its Alma mater. Additionally, the association supports new student during admissions through Helpdesks, etc.
The University has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
A branch of Vijaya Bank with ATM facility operates in the Administrative Block to meet the banking needs of the University community. An EDBPO (Sub-Post office), with speed post facility also functions in the university campus. One SBI ATM booth is also installed in the campus.
