RCB Faridabad is inviting applications for Six-Month Research Training (July 2024 to December 2024).

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) Faridabad, established in 2006, is an institute of national importance with a vision to provide education, training and research in different branches of biotechnology. The Government of India and UNESCO signed an agreement for the establishment of RCB Faridabad, with a focus on capacity building. RCB Faridabad is a part of the Biotech Science Cluster (BSC) and works in tandem with the other institutions in the Cluster.

The courses provided by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology Faridabad are M.Sc PhD (integrated) and Ph.D in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics. Admission to the M.Sc. and Ph.D. Biotechnology integrated courses at the RCB Faridabad are based on a student's performance on the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences, as well as a personal interview. Regional Centre for Biotechnology admissions to Ph.D. Bioinformatics and Ph.D. Biostatistics programmes are based on students' performance in the RCB Faridabad nationally open written test and a personal interview.

Regional Centre for Biotechnology scholarships are offered to students who have performed well throughout their academics. Regional Centre for Biotechnology scholarships are also offered to meritorious and needy students. Scholarships act as a motivational factor for students to perform better in their academics. Regional Centre for Biotechnology scholarships are offered in the form of stipends or fellowships for various courses. The details of the stipends/fellowships for various programmes are given below:

Regional Centre for Biotechnology scholarships for Ph.D programme in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics- The candidates selected for Ph.D programme in Biostatistics or Bioinformatics are entitled to receive a stipend of Rs. 45,000 per month for the first two years of the programme and Rs. 50,000 for the next three years.

Regional Centre for Biotechnology scholarships for M.Sc and Ph.D Biotechnology (Integrated) Course- The candidates selected for M.Sc and Ph.D Biotechnology (Integrated) are entitled to receive Ramachandran-DBT fellowship of Rs. 16,000 per month for the first two years of the programme, after which the students must qualify junior/senior fellowships offered by CSIR, ICMR, DBT and other funding agencies.
