About Tamil University, Thanjavur
With a mission to further the advancement of high level learning and research on Tamil language, literature and culture, Tamil University Thanjavur offers PG, B.Ed, M.Ed, PhD, and M.Phil programmes. Tamil University, Thanjavur was established in 1981 and believes in inculcating professional values and ethical behaviour. To help students pursue their studies and work at the same time, Tamil University, Thanjavur also started the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE). This Directorate started its academic services from 2005-06 in various disciplines. However, in 2012-13, 29 new courses were introduced. Moreover, the University is planning to introduce new courses in the coming academic years.
Tamil University, Thanjavur facilities include gyms, a library, sports, an auditorium, Wi-Fi, and more for the students. Well Archaeology is famous to study in Tamil Nadu .Archaeology as a field of study refers to the scientific and orderly study of the life and culture of past generations. Archaeology studies earlier human cultures through identification, excavation and survey of historical sites.
There are many good universities to join in B.A Archeology in Tamil Nadu like UNOM - University of Madras, Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU), Poompuhar College (PC) Nagapattinam and many more. And the admission/joining dates are on months of April-May but it can shift due to Covid-19 situation. So you can join the university on the tentative dates also.
