The University of Patanjali was founded on April 5, 2006, and derives its name from the renowned Indian sage Patanjali, who lived around 900 BC. UoP Haridwar is supported by the Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust (PYP). UoP Haridwar’s primary objective is to facilitate the synergistic integration of Yoga and Ayurveda, promote the harmonious preservation of heritage, culture, and the environment and to empower students to attain their career objectives through a blend of Vedic wisdom and modern science.
