USTM, stands for the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, is private state university in Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya and was founded in 2008. USTM located on a large piece of land of 400 acres is gradually making its presence known in Northeast India. The university receives affiliation to NAAC and recognition by UGC, AICTE, BCI, and NCTE. USTM has 3,866 students and 179 faculty members It offers 141 Programmes and 28 degrees to its students. University’s concern of quality learning education is seen through its modern infrastructures and diversified academic courses offered in different courses.
USTM has a large number of facilities that are intended to improve both learning process and personal growth of the students, and that are amazing. University library contains more than 80000 volumes which fully meets the academic requirements of the students and researches. Internet Connection: The campus accommodation provides well equipped laboratory for Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Technology & Science, Zoology, Botany, Earth Science and Computer Science. USTM is equipped with many accommodations for students and has separated hostels for male and female students and all are facilitated with all the facilities required for modern living. The provisions of sports for the university students provide develops the physical facet of integrated development and embrace football, volley ball, basket ball, badminton, cricket as well as table tennis. Also it has a STD centre, sports area with big gym, fully equipped auditoriums, and internet facilities entire campus giving positive environment for studies and personalities.
The university lists 141 courses across the various academic levels of programmes that it provides to the learners. These include; undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in various subjects of Science & Technology, Management & Social Sciences, Mass Communication & Humanities, MBA and B.Ed etc. To ensure it meets the needs of the student’s US Trade and Marketing provides full and part time study and online classes. The approved intakes for all disciplines sum up to 3,866, which demonstrates the university’s ability to enrol large groups of learners without compromise to the quality of programmes offered across disciplines.

USTM follows a policy of direct admission to most of its programmes, and the procedures may be slightly different for each course. As with most institutions, admission to most courses is on the basis of the candidate’s qualifying examination results. In some cases the student may have to face tests of entry or interviews especially when studying in the postgraduate programmes. My college has a good infrastructure with big buildings and a green campus. We have a big library in our campus with huge amount of books for students. We have a clean campus with hygiene everywhere. Pure drinking water is also available everywhere in campus.

College Infrastructure
Outstanding infrastructure. You need one month to explore each corner of the university. The Helipad and the small park nearby the pond are the best places to spend time with your friends. They have one of the best auditorium in North East India. State of the Art Infrastructure.
