Teachers' Training College of the Apex of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal is a co-educational institution. The college offers two specialized courses, namely, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Admission to the B.Ed program is based on merit, considering the marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process may also include any other method as per the policy of the state government or UT Administration and the affiliated university. This two-year full-time course is designed to prepare students for a career in teaching at the secondary and higher secondary levels.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed program also has an approved intake of 100 seats. Similar to the B.Ed program, admission to D.El.Ed is merit-based, taking into account the marks secured by candidates in their qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process follows the guidelines set by the state government. This two-year diploma course focuses on preparing students for teaching at the elementary level.
