72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agriculture shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned and offered by Central Agricultural University, Imphal.
Eligibility Criteria
- For admission to the Ph.D. program, a Master's degree in the respective/related subject with an OGPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for the SC/ST/PH category at the Master's degree level is required for admission. Those coming from a 3-year degree and 2- year Master's Degree streams should undergo one-year remedial courses before registering for the regular courses.

The students have to qualify in a written examination and an interview to get admission.
