      College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam takes admission to both postgraduate and Doctoral Programme. The College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences admission can be through ICAR CUET or Self finance Programme. 

      The Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree in science or agricultural discipline from a recognised university are eligible for CPGSAS PG admissions. CPGSAS Umaim also provides admission to Doctoral level. The eligible candidates can apply for both online and offline mode for admission at the CPGSAS Umiam.

      A Bachelors' degree in Agriculture disciplines from a recognized University with Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 6.00 out of 10.00 or equivalent percentage

      CPGSAS Umiam Msc Admission Process

      • First, Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field from a recognized university.

      • Download the CPGSAS Umaim Msc application form from the website and submit it online along with the required documents.

      • Candidates may require to take a written ICAR CUET entrance exam to assess your knowledge and aptitude in the chosen field.

      • The final selection is based on a combined score of your application and entrance exam.

      • Priority is given to candidates from the North Eastern Hill states, with some seats reserved for other states under the ICAR quota.

      Ph.D Programme

      A Master's degree in the respective/related subject with an OGPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/PH category. 

      Those coming from a 3-year degree and 2- year Master's Degree streams should undergo one-year remedial courses before registering for the regular courses. 

      CPGSAS Umiam PhD Admission Process

      • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in a relevant agricultural subject from a recognized university and a minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 6.5 out of 10.0

      • All Ph.D. applicants must take a written entrance exam conducted by the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences admission team to assess their knowledge and aptitude in the chosen field.

      • After the CPGSAS Written exam, students are invited for an interview to know about research interests, communication skills, and suitability for the program, including your ability to undertake doctoral research.

      • The final selection is based on a combined score of your application, entrance exam, interview performance, and research proposal.

      • Bachelor's degree certificate in Science or Agriculture from a recognised university (for M.Sc Agriculture).

      • Master's degree certificate in the respective/related subject (for Ph.D. Programme).
