The Faculty of Engineering and Technology Annamalai university is a constituent college in Annamalai nagar, Tamilnadu which was founded in 1945. It is an AICTE recognised institution that provides engineering streams in 3 courses at the different levels of degrees. Currently the college has 326 faculty members and is delivering quality education in many branches of engineering. It has enormous recognition for offering rich courses, well-equipped laboratory, and ensuring the quality education system. The campus is located at Chidambaram and provides a right ambience for learning and research in the stream of engineering and technology.
The Faculty includes a great number of resources for students’ practical and spiritual development ranging from engineering to technology. It has equipped the campus with laboratories that cater for practical lessons in several varieties of engineering. The college library as the information centre where the students are availed with a rich collection in form of books, journals and other print and electronic materials. Sports lovers have every reason to smile as the institute is facilities include tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, an athletic track, cricket pitches and a wooden floored indoor hall. The campus also has different hostels for boys and girls – out-station students can comfortably stay here. Other facilities include campus cafeteria, gym and banking halls that help to complement the students’ lives.
Engineering: The institute provide three rounds of different courses/programmes for all the specialties in this field. All the offered programmes are considered full-time, helping students gain both – extensive theoretical knowledge and valuable experience in their chosen subjects- MBA, MCA & MBA Part time.. The intake capacity of the BE programmes is between 60 to 120 per course while the ME programmes offer 18 numbers of seats per course, but with little variations. This diverse course offering enables students to select the engineering discipline they prefer most, as will be seen below, to fit the market demand or interest.
