Hazi Sayed Progressive Teachers Training Institute, Murshidabad, West Bengal, is a relatively new educational institute, established in 2017. This is a co-educational institute that aims at shaping the future teachers of the nation by its two different teaching-oriented programs. This institute is built on a very small area of 1.08 acres, yet it has risen to be at par with the institutions involved in teacher education. Having a total enrolment of 349 students and a faculty strength of 32 allows for a decent student-to-teacher ratio to be maintained, which permits better care and quality education. 

The institution has various facilities for making the learning experience as comprehensive as possible for the students. Merit will be the criterion of admission into the B.Ed program on the basis of marks in qualifying test or entrance exam. This follows the policy of admission set by the state government of West Bengal and university with which it is affiliated. Candidates whether graduate or post-graduate in respective subjects can apply for B.Ed course.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): Again a full two-year D. El. Ed program offered by the institute covers an intake capacity of a hundred seats, and admission in it is also strictly on merit. Merit for admission into D. El. Ed is determined from the qualifying examination and/or by an entrance test, per current state government policies. This program intends to prepare candidates for elementary education.
