24 MonthsBachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates with at least 50% Marks either in Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in Science/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce/Home Science/B.B.A/ B.C.A, or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program. However, while calculating merit, marks obtained in Graduation only will be considered. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/BC candidates. Candidates with less than 45% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible.
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the program. However, while calculating merit, marks obtained in Graduation only will be considered. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/BC candidates. Candidates with less than 50% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible. Candidates should have passed Graduation/Post-Graduation in a relevant school subject.
- A candidate getting admission on the basis of a Postgraduate degree shall have to opt for one of the teaching subjects pursued by him/her at a Master's degree. Any candidate with less than 50% or fewer marks would not be eligible.
Admission Details
Admission Shall be Made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.
