PSG College of Education, Sankari, is a premier teacher-training institution in the Salem District of Tamil Nadu. The institution is an affiliate of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, and it has been NCTE approved.

PSG College of Education has an admission process that qualifies candidates that plan on being professional teachers. All admissions made into the college are based on government, Union Territory administration, and affiliated university rules and regulations. Normally, admissions are made on a merit basis taking into account the marks attained in the qualifying examination and/or results from the entrance examination.

One must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university before he or she is eligible to apply to the B.Ed program. The D.El.Ed program requires candidates to have passed the higher secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent. The college may conduct an additional selection process as per state government and university policies.

Application Process

The application process for PSG College of Education, Sankari is:

1. Admission Notification: The college officially announces the admissions process through its regular channels.

2. Application Form: Candidates should obtain the application form and fill it out. It may either be available online on the college's website or, in person, from the admissions office.

3. Document Submission: Along with the completed application form, candidates must submit necessary documents, including:

Degre Wise Admission Process

Admission under this program is purely merit-based, with consideration of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The minimum entry requirement for candidates wishing to be admitted under this program is a bachelor's degree or a qualification equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a university recognized by the appropriate authorities. Additional criteria may be included in the selection process as per the policy of state government and the university.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
This is also a two years full-time program, approved for a student intake of 50. Admission to the D.El.Ed program is also made purely on merit basis taking into account the marks attained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Candidates qualifying for eligibility to join the D.El.Ed are those that have passed the higher secondary examination (10+2) or the equivalent examination. Selection process follows that prescribed by the state government and the university to which the college is affiliated.
