There are many colleges which give admission on considering JEE Main Paper 2 marks. The list has been provided below:
1. BIT Mesra, Ranchi
2. School of planning and architecture, Bhopal
3. School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi
4.Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Jammu and Kashmir
Hi Nirmal! Jee main paper 2 result 2018 will be declared by CBSE for B.Arch and B.Plan on 31st May, 2018. It has not yet been declared. It will be declared through online mode.

No, it is not compulsory to give JEE Main paper 2 if you are not interested in B.Arch. JEE Main Paper 2 is to take admission in B.Arch course to get admission in NITs. To take admission in architecture course in IITs you have to give JEE Main paper 1

Agood score of above 250 is considered safe to secure admission into any NITs.
Alternatively, a rank in top 500 shall have best chances for all colleges in Architecture.
