Rungta College of Science and Technology, Durg Admission Process

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The B.Ed course at RCST has an intake capacity of 100 seats and the admission is based on the merit of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination scores. The selection process is governed by the policy of the state government and the university.

BBA and BCA: Both programs are open to students of every stream, with 70 and 90 seats, respectively. Selection is done primarily on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2).

B.Sc Programs: RCST has various B.Sc programs such as Computer Science (60 seats), Mathematics (60 seats), Biology (40 seats), Biotechnology (35 seats), and Microbiology (20 seats). Admission to these programs is generally based on the applicable 10+2 subjects' marks.

M.Ed: M.Ed. programs have an intake of 50 seats. Like B.Ed., admissions will be based on merit, and will consider whether the qualifying examination marks awarded or entrance exam scores would be assessed according to state government and university policy.

M.Sc Programs: RCST offers various M.Sc programs in disciplines like Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Each program has an approximate intake of 20 seats. Admission for these M.S. courses is based on the marks obtained in the respective Bachelor's degree.

PGDCA: The Post Graduate Diploma Computer Applications program has 120 seats. The admission process is likely based on the marks obtained in the qualifying graduation examination.

Academics

The teaching is okay, but the curriculum needs updates to match industry trends. More practical learning is needed. The college only provide theoretical knowledge and doesn't provide extra practical knowledge.
