B.Sc Psychology at School of Life Sciences, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru Offline Course

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Psychology is a full-time General  (3 Years)  Honours  (4 Years) undergraduate degree course offered by the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru.

The B. Sc Psychology is an undergraduate course. This course will start with a basic overview of Understanding human behavior in General psychology and Developmental psychology. Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behavior in a given environment. Also, the course is involved in the development of memory, language, cognition, perception, executive functions, and attention. The study of abnormal psychology includes personality disorder, developmental disorder, and mental retardation. An emphasis is also laid on psychology as related to industrial psychology. The course work also focuses on the socio-psychology components of decision-making, etc. A separate paper is dedicated to counseling and guidance, involving the counseling methods, types of counseling and its relation to psychology. The aim is to provide students to observe and understand human behaviors and conduct assessment and give counseling to them. The duration of the course is three years and it is career orienting nature that opens a lot of job scopes for them after its successful completion.
