A pass in the higher Secondary examination of the (10+2) curriculum (academic stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu is eligible for admission at SVCET Puducherry. Lateral Entry SVCET Puducherry admissions to the second year of a degree programme, candidates should not have completed 24 years as of 1st July of the academic year under consideration.

Tech programme which lasts four years. With a minimum of 45 % marks ( 40% marks for OBC/MBC and SC/ST candidates) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject is considered for SVCET Puducherry admissions.

The facilities all are good and also well maintained. The classrooms are very large and provided with smart rooms. The labs are having all the updated softwares in the system , the signals lab , machines labs are also well maintained. The canteen is provided to students. The library , sports club, dance auditorium, indoor sports area are also very helpful to the students.
