The BBA (Entrepreneurship) Programme has been designed with a vision to infuse experiential and high-quality education with a global focus. The entrepreneurial skills learnt by the students ensure not only the fundamental understanding of management, but also the confidence to set up businesses and projects with deep industry interaction and social interfacing.
This Programme involves a unique and dynamic combination of creativity, innovation, critical-thinking and organization, provided on an interactive platform, by faculty with proven research and academic credentials, which hones the students into becoming competent future entrepreneurs. The four-year BBA (Entrepreneurship) programme follows the NEP programme structure as specified by the Government of Karnataka.
It is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to the 1st year of the degree programme to have successfully completed 12 years of schooling through an examination conducted by a Board/University. Mandatory eligibility for the Programme is a pass at the +2 level (ISC/CBSE/ other state boards/International Board/Karnataka PU Board) in any stream of Commerce or Science with a minimum of 60%.
Entrance Examination (Round 1 & Round 2)
The Entrance Examination for the Bachelor of Business Administration – (Entrepreneurship) Programme will be conducted in the online mode in two sessions. The first session of entrance examination (Round 1 & Round 2) is scheduled in the month of April, 2022 and the second session of entrance examination (Round 1 & Round 2) in the month of May, 2022.
Round 1: St. Joseph's Management Aptitude Test (SMAT)
The candidates will be tested in the areas of Communicative Skills in English and Grammar, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Numerical ability, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Entrepreneurship, Accountancy, Economics and Management. The entrance exam paper will be for 60 marks consisting of 60 multiple choice questions (MCQs) for one mark each. The examination will be for a duration of one hour.
SMAT Question Paper Pattern:
Section A: Communicative Skills in English and Grammar
Section B: Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation
Section C: General Knowledge and Current Affairs
Section D: Aptitude for Management, Entrepreneurship, Accountancy and Economics
Guidelines:
• Each section will consist of 15 questions
• All questions are compulsory
• There will be no negative marking
