48 MonthsThe Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) programme has an innovative curriculum design which enables students to have a good fundamental knowledge of Accounting, Economics, Taxation, Statistics, Auditing, Cost Accounting and Finance and also a choice of interdisciplinary courses along with skill-based courses. In the third year, the students also have an option to choose their specialization from wide choice of electives. B.Com (Honours) also offers several exposure programmes such as international industrial visits, extension programme, social and corporate internships, involvement in live research and participation in several clubs and forums.
The four-year B.Com (Honours) programme follows the NEP programme structure as specified by the Government of Karnataka.
Timing :
Shift I: 7:00 am onwards
Shift II: 11.30 am onwards
Note: 7:00 a.m. batch will be allotted only to candidates pursuing Indian Professional programs like CA/CMA/CS etc., proof of which has to be submitted during the Interview.
It is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to the 1st year of the degree course to have successfully completed 12 years of Schooling through an examination conducted by a Board/University. Mandatory eligibility for the Programme is a pass at the +2 level (ISC/CBSE/ other state boards/International Board and Karnataka PU Board) in any stream of Commerce or Science.
Entrance Examination (Round 1 & Round 2)
The Entrance Examination for the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Programme will be conducted in the online mode in two sessions. The first session of entrance examination (Round 1 & Round 2) is scheduled in the month of April, 2022 and the second session of entrance examination (Round 1 & Round 2) in the month of May, 2022.
Round 1: St. Joseph’s Commerce Aptitude Test (SCAT)
The candidates will be tested in the areas of Basic Accounts & Advanced Accounts, Basic Math, Logical Reasoning and Current Affairs. The entrance exam paper will be for 50 marks consisting of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQs) for one mark each. The examination will be for a duration of one hour.
SCAT Question Paper Pattern:
Section A: Basic Accounts & Advanced Accounts and Basic Math.
Section B: Logical reasoning and Current Affairs
Guidelines:
• Section A will consist of 30 questions and Section B will consist of 20 questions.
• All questions are compulsory
• There will be no negative marking

Round 2: Assessment of Subject Knowledge
Candidates shortlisted from Round 1 will be called for Round 2 and will be assessed on the subject knowledge of the candidate in the core areas. Candidates are required to attend the online subject knowledge round along with E-admit card in formal attire.

The college lacks a huge auditorium and canteen is comparatively small, All the auditoriums must be air conditioned and should be able to accommodate more people. Classrooms could be made much better.
SJCC has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. We have smart boards in class, a good library, sports room etc. They all are well maintained. The living spaces are clean and food is hygienic.
College has all the necessary things which is needed for a student, there are projectors in every class and smart boards everything is well maintained and are used properly, the college environment is also too good and there are many supporting staffs who help us and the food is also very hygienic and the campus is well maintained
