Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a three years full-time course postgraduate course offered by University of Mumbai, Mumbai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Admission Process
- Admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Programme is carried out as per the guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State.
- The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed minimum three years duration Bachelors Degree awarded by university recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only); having Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination and obtained a non-zero score at the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Competent Authority, Govt. of Maharashtra.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates who have passed Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS), Bachelor of Science (Computer/Information Technology) degree courses are not required to fulfill the requirement of having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination.
- Eligibility Criteria for admission steps in the entire process of CET, Document Verification, Centralized Admission Process, Online reporting, etc. for securing admission against the Minority seats & Institute Level seats.
- Candidate should be an Indian National & belong to Hindi Linguistic Community (only for Linguistic Minority candidates).
- A student should have appeared for the Maharashtra-Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) Conducted by the Government of Maharashtra for the year 2018 and secured a non-zero score.
- Candidate should have passed the SSC (Std. X), HSC (Std. XII) & Graduation examination from Maharashtra state (only for Linguistic Minority candidates).
- The candidate should have a domicile of the State of Maharashtra (only for Linguistic Minority candidates).
