1. Common entrance test admission process for b.tech in biotechnology

• First students need to crack entrance exams conducted by the institute.

• The common entrance exam includes questions from subjects Physics , Chemistry , Biology , Mathematics , and English .

• The syllabus of these exams is based on the class 10+2 syllabus.

• Students will be shortlisted on the basis of their entrance exam performance and class 12th marks.

3. Lateral entry admission process for b.Tech in biotechnology

• Candidates can join the B.Tech in biotechnology course after completing a polytechnic diploma of engineering in biotechnology. Through two examinations, lateral entry entrance exam and other is a general engineering entrance exam.

• After completing biotechnology, students will get admission directly into the second year of engineering. The lateral entry examination is a state-level examination. According to the rank, students will be able to choose the institute from their state at the time of counseling. In most of the engineering colleges, there is a reserved seat for lateral entry. But in IITs , there is no lateral entry seat.
