Hi Sayantan,

Jadavpur University being the most sought after institute in West Bengal, the competition is tremendous. Unfortunately with your rank, i.e. 2851 it is extremely difficult to bag a seat in the Information Technology domain in JU even though you belong to OBC category B.

However, you might qualify for other branches in JU with your rank and reservation. Do checkout the cutoff of various branches in JU over the past years by clicking the following link.
