Hello himanshu,

“ Ooh 150k in common rank list is a good rank without coaching”.

You might not seem to be aware of the fact that admission in colleges like dtu/nsit is based on all india jee main rank but not on category rank list uptil last year .

.

As you haven’t told me what’s your all india rank so i am considering as general and giving you the general statistics of last ranker who got admitted in college through jac delhi 2k16 . They are as follows—————

  • For computer engineering (CO)/ software engineering (SI)/ Information technology(IT)/ Mathematics and computing ——- respectively —
  1. delhi region(47k/81k/70k/123k)
  2. outside delhi region (11k/17k/13.7k/16k)
  • For Electronics and communication engineering (ECE)/Electrical and electronics engineering (EEE)/ Electrical engineerign(EE)———respectively ———
  1. delhi region (105k/135k/141k)
  2. outside delhi region (14k/19k/18.7k)
  • For Mechanical engineering ( ME)/ Civil engineering / Mechanical engineering with specialization in automation (MAM)/ Production and industrial engineering —— respectively ———
  1. Delhi region (107k/141k/138k/199k)
  2. Outside delhi region (16k/18.9k/19.6k/20k)
  • For Environment engineering /Bio-tech/engineering physics / Polymer science and technology —— respectively ——
  1. Delhi region (213k/208k/201k /213k)
  2. outside delhi region (28k/25k/23k/26k)

Now its your choice what you wanna opt. since board marks have been waved off this time so there are chances of seeing 5k up or down in previous year ranks. All the ranks stated above are with respect to OBC category delhi region (issued by NCT delhi).

Hello Himanshu

You got very low rank in JEE mains so your chances of getting admission in a good college is very less. And The level of DTU is almost same as of NITs and there cut off is also high.

You can try for it but chances are less.If you belong to some reserved category like Sc/ST then there was chance. Also if you are home state candidate then only.

DTU cut off: https://jacdelhi.nic.in/publicinfo/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=250&iii=Y

Try for other private of govt. colleges.

All the best
