The institute was established in 1983 in Mumbai. The campus of the institute is spread over an area of 1 acre of land. Sydenham Institute of Management Studies Research and Entrepreneurship Education is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and offers management courses. The courses offered by the college are Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management , M.M.S, M.B.A. Marketing Management , M.B.A. Financial Management and Ph.D Management. SIMSREE Mumbai is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
