SIMSREE admission process
Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education, Mumbai offers postgraduate programmes in marketing management, management studies, financial management, and a postgraduate diploma in business management and a doctoral programme. Admission o the MMS and PGDM programmes is offered on the basis of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH-CET) that is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) or Common Admission Test (CAT) and Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and participation in Centralised Admission Process (CAP) that is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education. For Master’s in Financial Management (Part-Time) and Master’s in Marketing Management, aspirants have to qualify the test, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by SIMSREE and then academic record of the candidate, Scrutiny test, GD and PI and level and nature of work experience candidates will be finally selected. Candidates wishing to take admission to the PhD programme of SIMSREE have to appear for PhD Entrance Test (PET) and then qualify the personal interview. SIMSREE admission process is given below in details:
Admission Procedure (For MMS):-
- Candidates have to appear for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH-CET) that is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) or Common Admission Test (CAT) and Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for being a part of the SIMSREE admission process.
- Candidates with valid scores will have to apply to the admission process of the Directorate of Technical Education.
- DTE will conduct document verification at the ARCs.
- The seat allocation will be done by DTE on merit basis through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds on the basis of the percentile of the normalised score of entrance exams.
Admission Procedure (For PGDBM):-
- Candidates have to appear for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH-CET) that is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) or Common Admission Test (CAT) and Common Management Admission Test (CMAT).
- Candidates with valid scores will have to apply to the admission process of Directorate of Technical Education.

Admission Procedure (For PhD Management):-
- Candidates will have to appear for the PhD Entrance Test (PET) which will be conducted by the University of Mumbai.
- Candidates fulfilling any one of the following criteria will be exempted from the PET-
- Candidates qualified in GATE/ SET/ NET/ (JRF) Examination/ Teacher fellowship holder of the apex bodies as CSIR/ UGC/ ICAR/ ICMR/ DBT only.
- Candidates who have completed M.Phil from University of Mumbai or any other recognised university as per the UGC guidelines from time to time.
- Eligible candidates will be called for subject-wise interviews by the Head of the Research Centre.
- Candidates who have qualified the PET with valid score and have appeared for the interview will be given admission by the University of Mumbai. The list of students who got admission will be posted on the official website of the University.
