Hi. Both the colleges are good. IIT Kanpur has a fee of 8.18 lakhs and offers 55 seats while IIT Madras has a fee of 8.5 lakhs an offers 49 seats. IIT Madras offers placements in EY, HSBC, JP Morgan , Paytm, the hindu, Virtusa with 8.75 lakhs as an average salary and maximum salary of 20 lakhs. IIT Kanpur offers placements in Accenture, IBM, Google, Genpact, Microsoft, Infosys.

However the facilities and faculty at iit madras is quite popular for creating great Engineers in aerospace engineering. 

There is no Doubt that IIT Madras is better than IIT Kanpur in any respect. 

IIT Madras has quite a reputable status and have amazing staff and faculty. Moreover , there are a number of workshops and inter college competition held in Madras.
