Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, commonly known as BIT Mesra, is a private deemed university, affiliated toe University Grants Commission (UGC). It was established in the year 1955. This college offers 57 courses in 8 streams and 39 specializations.

There are almost 100% placements in B.Tech CSE in BIT Mesra main campus. The placement percentage for other branches is also good.  The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA.
