Both are really good colleges but the overall ratings for IIEST shibpur is better compared to NIT calicut ,the fees for IIEST is INR 1.60 lakhs for 4 years but for NIT calicut it is INR 5.30 lakh for 4 years,Nit calicut has better infrastructure and facilities compared to IIEST shibpur,the median salary for IIEST is INR 7 lakhs per annum and for NIT calicut it is INR 8.05 lakhs.About 80% students get placed in both of these colleges. In IIEST the highest salary offered is INR 45 lakhs and in NIT calicut it is INR 42 lakhs per annum.I will give you a college compare link where you can compare and see it for yourself
