Which is better in terms of placement and avg package- nit durgapur(chemical engg.)or iiest shibpur(civil engg)? please explain with stats?

I strongly feel NIT Durgapur with chemical engineering will be better in terms of placement with a placement percentage of 80% approximately whereas IIEST Shibpur Civil is only at 57% till 2018 batch. On the other hand I think you should also look into your preference of branch as taking interest in your branch is very important and if you like a subject you can surely shatter the average of that branch and get a great package.

Hey there,

In terms of placement and average package nit Durgapur chemical engineer branch has an edge over iiest shibpur civil engineering branch. I will suggest you to go for the second one only if you want to clear the competitive examinations at State and National level.
