Hello Student

According to placement scenario IIT Kharagpur BTech  instrumentation is better than Mumbai IIT B tech chemical engineering. In Mumbai 90% student got placed and the highest salary is 2crore per annum and the lowest salary is between 6 lacs per annum . And for IIT Kharagpur BTech instrumentation it may be said that placement of is done about 98% and the highest salary offered 30 lacs per annum, average salary offered 16 lacs per annum, lowest salary offered 10 lacs per annum. So there is a continuation and stability of placement in regard of Kharagpur IIT B tech instrumentation.

Hope this helps.

Although you may have to slightly compromise on the branch, I believe Chemical at IIT Bombay is a better Option compared to Instrumentation at IIT KGP. Placements, Faculty, Infrastructure, Campus Life of both options are comparable, but IIT Bombay has a huge competitive advantage, being located near Technology and Finance Hubs of Mumbai and nearby Pune, hence huge scope and impetus to training, projects and placements.
