Assam Women’s University Jorhat was established in 2013 with a vision to provide quality higher education to the women of Assam. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university was started with an objective to promote research in applied science and arts, technology, industry, commerce, management and social sciences. Assam Women’s University is NAAC accredited with CGPA of 2.22 on four point scale at B grade.
The courses offered at Assam Women’s University are Diploma in Indian Culture and Garment Manufacturing Technology, PGDCA, BA Psychology, BPT, M.Lib.I.Sc, MA, BFT, MCA, MBA and MTTM. The college also offers various specialisations in the MA Course. Candidates have to appear for Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET). A merit list will be generated based on the marks obtained in the entrance test.

College Infrastructure
Yea we have 15 departments. And we have a equipments to handle them. library is quite small though compared to the level a university should have. But we students have learnt to live with that. And this university is in it's budding state so , we will make it.
