The university was started with an objective to promote research in applied science and arts, technology, industry, commerce, management and social sciences. Assam Women’s University is NAAC accredited with CGPA of 2.22 on four point scale at B grade.

Yea we have 15 departments. And we have a equipments to handle them. library is quite small though compared to the level a university should have. But we students have learnt to live with that. And this university is in it's budding state so , we will make it.
